Hunting for Eggs

Our church, The Church at Ross Station is an amazing place to serve. Right now we are meeting in a local school, and you would think that would limit what we can do. It doesn't. We have an amazing ministry, especially for families. Our Children and Preschool Departments are incredible. The children in our church are important to our Church.
We had our 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt this past Sunday. Of course, our family was not complete because Tuck was in the hospital, but we felt like it was important to make time for Lily to be with both of us at the same time.

She looks so serious! Jason was able to sing a song with our Praise Team. As he uses the gift that God gave him, he gets better and better.

Oh my goodness, Lily looks too adorable for words. I'm so happy to see you guys were able to get out of the hospital for a while and participate in the festivities. We're continually praying for Tucker!

Sister in Christ,

Did you know that there are 17 times in the Gospels that Jesus healed all of the sick that were present? These are the scripture references: Matthew 4:23-24; 8:16-17; 9:35; 12:15; 14:14, 34-35; 15:30-31; 19:2; 21:14; Mark 1:32-34, 39; 6:56; Luke 4:40; 6:17-19; 7:21; 9:11; 17:12-17.

And, there are 47 other times where He healed one or two people at a time. These are the scripture references: Matthew 8:1-4, 5-13, 14-15, 28-34; 9:1-8, 28-33; 12:10-13; Mark 2:1-12; 3:1-5; 5:1-20, 25-43; 7:24-37; 8:22-26; 9:14-29; 10:46-52; Luke 4:33-39; 5:12-15, 17-26; 6:6-10; 7:1-17; 8:27-39, 43-56; 9:37-42; 11:14; 13:11-17; 14:1-5; 18:35-43; 22:51; John 4:46-54; 5:2-15; 9:6-7; 11:43-44).

Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. Jesus said in John 5:19 and 8:28-29 that He could do nothing of Himself, but only what He saw the Father do. This means that Jesus’ actions prove God’s will to heal…all of the time. Jesus is our example today.

Hebrews 8:6 says, “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Isaiah 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

1 Peter 2:24, “…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-- by whose stripes you were healed.”

Psalm 91:9-10, “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you,”

Psalm 103:2-3, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,”

Did you know that when God speaks, it can’t be altered? It becomes a covenant or a promise. We see this in Psalm 89:34, “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.”

God holds His word above His Name, Psalm 138:2, “I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

God only gives perfect gifts and He never changes:

James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”

We need to believe the Word of God, not man’s wisdom. 1 Corinthians 2:5 says, “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

Jesus came to deliver us from this present evil age. Galatians 1:4 says, “…who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.”

Hebrews 2:14, “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.”

These promises are for us, as believers, right now, on this earth.

1 John 4:17 says, “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”

We don’t need to live in fear, sickness or poverty. Jesus has paid the price for us to be free in Him. The Gospel is nearly too good to be true. There is only one requirement: We must believe Him. It’s all about Jesus!

Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

You are blessed.
